19 (Eligibility for Submission)
Only individuals who are members of the Association and have paid their dues in
good standing are eligible to submit.

20 (Submission Conditions)
Submissions must be original papers on the topic of Korean language education
that have not been previously published.

21 (Submission Method)
1. Submissions
must be made through the online submission system (http://iakle.jams.or.kr).
2. Submitted
manuscripts should have all information identifying the contributor (including
co-authors) removed.

22 (Submission Deadline)
Manuscripts are accepted at any time; however, the deadlines are as follows:

journals published on March 1: December 30 of the previous year
·
For
journals published on June 1: March 30
·
For
journals published on September 1: June 30
·
For
journals published on December 1: September 30

23: Documents to be Submitted and Examination Fees
1. Contributors
must sign the Confirmation of Research Ethics Compliance Form and submit the
results of the KCI examination along with the copyright transfer agreement at
the time of submission. If there are two or more authors, all authors must sign
the declaration of compliance with the research ethics regulations.
2. Authors must submit the review fee upon manuscript submission (KRW 100,000; Nonghyup Bank 302-1636-3437-61, Account Holder: Junghee Lee, Editorial Board of the International Association for Korean Language Education). Review fees for rejected manuscripts are non-refundable. For accepted manuscripts, authors must pay a publication fee of KRW 100,000 for general papers and KRW 300,000 for grant-funded papers. Manuscripts exceeding 20 pages will incur an additional fee of KRW 10,000 per extra page.

24: Guidelines for Writing a Paper
1. Manuscripts must be prepared using a computer word processing program (Hangul or MS Word). All submissions must adhere to the guidelines below, with an approximate length of 20 journal pages.
2. The body of the
paper can be written in either Korean or English.
(1)
The
title of the manuscript should appear in both Korean and English. Upon
confirmation of publication, the author’s name must also be provided in both
languages. If there are multiple authors, the first author, corresponding
author, and co-authors should be clearly identified.
(2) Korean manuscripts must include an English abstract, while English manuscripts must include both English and Korean abstracts. The English abstract should not exceed 200 words, and the Korean abstract should not exceed 200 eojeol (Korean word units). Keywords must be provided in both English and Korean below the abstract.

3. The manuscript
format is as follows (this standard also applies to diagrams and figures):
(1) Paper size: Width 160 mm, Length 220 mm
(2) Margins: Top 20 mm, Bottom 8 mm, Left 25 mm, Right 25 mm, Binding 0 mm,
Header 10 mm, Footer 15 mm
(3) Font: Korean (Shin Myung-jo), English (Times New Roman)
(4) Font size, length, spacing, and line formatting should adhere to the above
specifications.

4. Footnotes
should be used for supplementary information, with content notes as the
standard. Citations and page numbers should be formatted in the main text as
follows: John Doe (1997:251).
5. Example
sentences should have a line space above and below. The line spacing between
example sentences must match that of the main text. Quotations should follow
the same formatting as described above.
6. References must follow APA style. For books, list the author (year), title, and (place of publication): publisher, in that order. For journal articles, include the author (year), title of the paper in quotation marks, journal name, issue number, name of the society, and page numbers cited. Separate co-authors with a middle dot (·); if there are four or more authors, use the format “Author et al. (year)” and all author information should be included in the references.
7. References should be listed in the following order based on the original language: Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, and other languages. Any supplementary materials (including websites) or analytical data should be presented separately from the references. For references written in languages other than English (including Korean), the original script should be provided along with an English translation of the relevant information.
